How Do I Find a Good Movie I Will Want to Share with Others?

With Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart hitting the headlines each time there’s rumours of reconciliation, the Twilight Saga earns in popularity.

Fans of the couple who are rooting for them to get back together might be severely disappointed at the recent news that Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Steward sold the £4 million Los Angeles mansion they once shared.

But, is this a good film? Is this a film I would want to watch?

How do I find a good movie that I know I will like?

How Much Can you Trust the Reviews?

Have you read the books and watched the Twilight Saga films? You might have been resisting the urge to see what these films are all about up until now, but things change and you might end up giving the werewolves and vampires saga a try.

Twilight saga fan sites are probably not the best option to read honest and unbiased reviews of the films and serious movie critics have completely panned the entire saga. Fan sites also seem to spend more time reviewing heroine Bella‘s wedding dress (Carolina Herrera, just so you know) than commenting on the movies themselves.

Ouch!

The Razzies or Golden Raspberries Awards, celebrating the worst that Hollywood has produced, gave The Twilight Saga: Eclipse the gong for worst film.

Robert Pattinson won Worst Actor in the same movie and so did his co-stars Taylor Lautner and Kirsten Stewart. Oh, and by the way the whole cast of Twilight got the Worst Screen Ensemble award at the Razzies too.

Is Twilight Really that Bad?

How can you make sense of all this? Is Twilight really that bad?

If you read the fan sites, Twilight is the best thing that has ever happened in the history of cinema. All the actors are extremely talented and worth swooning over for.

To get a clearer picture, you can ask a much wider audience. With itcher, the new app for finding entertainment, you can find out what people think of your chosen movie release. On itcher people rate films, books and games and you can make up your mind on what to watch, read or play after reading users’ reviews and popularity ratings.

If you read the fan sites, Twilight is the best thing that has ever happened in the history of cinema.

There’s 5 films in the Twilight Saga: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Breaking Dawn Part 2. That’s a whole weekend worth of movies. You could play your own version of the Razzies, dress up, grab some popcorn and rate each movie (score paddles optional).

Hmm.. I Might Try the Books Instead

If the bad acting is not for you, you could try the Twilight books instead. Again, ask the itcher audience for what they think about the books.

Author Stephenie Meyer has sold over 100 million copies of the Twilight novels. Meyer made it into Time Magazine’s list of the “100 Most Influential People in 2008” and Vanity Fair’s list of the “Top 100 Information Age Powers” of 2009.

The Guardian defined Meyer as an “imaginative storyteller”. Meyer was also credited for getting teenagers passionate about reading books again.

Maybe you can change your plans and read the Twilight Saga books instead…

What do the other itcher users think of the books? Better find out on itcher.
