Best Books on Detoxing: Recommended Detox Books for You

The best best books on detoxing / recommended detox books out there are, I believe, the ones that do not make you feel like you are serving a life sentence in prison. What I mean is: who really wants to drink lemon water all day for 10 days? I definitely don’t. I did do my fair share of detox diets over the years and I do not have fond memories of the experience.

A particularly unpleasant detox diet is the “cabbage soup diet”: I felt faint and … gassy. It’s not a good look!

A short term “detox diet” may give you an energy boost and increase your vitamin and mineral intake

My advice to you is to always seek professional advice if you are planning to start a healthier eating regime to help detox your body.  Dieticians, nutritionists and doctors will tell you that our bodies are perfectly capable of detoxing without assistance.

A short term “detox diet” may give you an energy boost and increase your vitamin and mineral intake if your day-to-day diet relies heavily on ready meals and other processed foods. You might seek guidance on the best detox books for this.

How to Choose the Right Detox Book

I would suggest looking at the author’s professional qualifications as the main criterion when choosing a book on detoxing.

Celebrities are publishing detox diet books every year and it’s tempting to think you can look as glamorous as a famous celebrity by following the advice on their books. I am not saying never buy a book endorsed by a celebrity, but I would advise to check the credentials of any experts that have been involved in the book.

I am Paola Bassanese, and I love twitter – I think in slogans! I am a contributing author at itcher mag covering mainly quirky movies that I like and that I hope you′ll like too. [n-e-x-t] I have written a few books including The Foraging Home Cook, and also write about health and lifestyle for the Huffington Post. I consider myself to be a Londoner even though I was born in Italy. I love 80s music and foreign language films, but I also enjoy going to the opera and ballet.
