Televisions are great, laptops are usually better hooked up to a TV and, if you and your significant other are serial movie lovers, it's worth investing in some kind of projector for a real at-home cinema experience.

Dressing up all swish and going out to dinner is great, but you know what's even better?

Decide on the Movie Beforehand

Sitting down to watch a movie and having no idea what you're going to watch is stressful.

You have high hopes for finding something great but - argh - you just can't find one you both like the look of.

This is where things get tricky because either one of you has to compromise, or you just have to keep looking, which could take ages.

Always decide on the movie before you watch it. Preferably the day before, but know by lunchtime at the latest. That way you'll keep your date night stress free, hooray.
